First Steps Dalton provides universal support to all expectant parents and children ages 0-5 and their families. First Steps services begin with an initial contact with the family to identify resources that may support the family in creating the best environment for their child. Families receive a localized community resource guide, referrals to relevant resources, and age-appropriate information in specific categories:

• Maternal Health,

• Newborn/Child Health,

• Home and Child Safety,

• Community and Family Safety,

• School Readiness, and

• Family Economic Self-sufficiency.

First Steps Dalton serves families residing in Whitfield and Murray Counties and is part of the First Steps Georgia network, which serves more than 40 counties throughout the state.
